All settled in.

For the most part we are UNPACKED and settled in. With the exception of hanging a few pictures everything is pretty much in its designated place.

We had a great 4th spending time with my sister in-law and her 5 beautiful (I'm a bias Auntie) kids. We ate good food, went to the beach and shopped - my top 3 things to do on the weekend or pretty much any time.

All the kids sleeping in our small living room (and yes, our nephew Dylan slept behind our sofa in a 2 foot gap)

Speaking of the beach...it was my first official beach day this summer. I was looking forward to getting a tan. (Disclaimer: I do not mean to sound like a brat with the following sentences.) I have never been sunburned in my life. I have been blessed with olive skin from my mother's side of the family. However, before I state how I am soooo lucky to have great skin for tanning, let me tell you what happened to me.

I put a little sunscreen on my nose and cheeks to protect my face and left the rest of my body sunscreen free thinking this would increase my future tan.....boy was I wrong! I got MAJOR SUNBURNED!!! My arms, legs (which hurt the most), back, stomach and chest were so RED. I honestly have never been in so much pain. I could barely straighten my legs on day 2. I lathered on the aloe and took IB profin - all of which didn't help that much. By day 5 my skin felt like leather.

It has now been a week since the "incident" and I am shedding like crazy. It's gross. I made a promise to Jared that I will never call him a wimp when he gets sunburned. I apologized for the times that I have teased him or may have even "accidentally" slapped his sunburn. I have learned a BIG lesson - sunscreen is a MUST!!!

I wish I would have taken pictures but, I'm kinda glad I didn't. I'm embarrassed at my idiocy.

So glad you guys are all in :) We wanna see your new place!! I'm sure it's adorable!! And sorry about your burn :( Sunburns suck big time. I'm glad that you are feeling better now. I agree sunscreen is a MUST. I got burnt on my head, if you can believe that! The only place I didn't think to put sunscreen, in the part of hairline!
