FNL

FNL aka FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS.

Jared and I jumped on band wagon a little late.
We had been told by our friends G & J to watch FNL.

Jared got the 1st season on DVD for Christmas (2 years ago).

We simply didn't get around to it.

However, when we moved into our new place, we did not have cable for a couple weeks.
So, we pulled out season 1 and began watching it every night before bed.

We kinda became obsessed to say the least.

Which lead us to buy the 2nd season and now the 3rd season.
In fact, tonight we will be watching the LAST episode tonight.

To be honest, we are going to miss THE PANTHERS!

CLEAR EYES FULL HEARTS CAN'T LOSE

Recommendation.

This may be old news to those of you who have read this book already.

Jared read this book on our flight home from Singapore. He could not stop talking about it and if you know Jared, you know that he explains things with precise and detailed description.

Nevertheless, I HAD to read this book and I did.
It is really good. The Road is being made into a movie that will be coming out this fall.

Read it.

Confession.

I have a confession...my guilty pleasure these days....

Tori and Dean Home Sweet Hollywood.

 Why?

Good question.

I don't know exactly.

One day I stopped on the oxygen channel and from then on I have been hooked.

I borrowed this book from a friend (who will remain nameless)...

which lead me to wanting to read this...

Now, I am a Tori Spelling fan.

Happy B-day.

Jared's mom had a layover in Los Angeles this past weekend.
It happened to be on her birthday. She was here for the one night only.
So, we went out to dinner to celebrate. We had a wonderful time.
Robin is a great mother to us. She is so loving and caring.
It was a treat to have her visiting from Utah.

Happy Birthday!!!

We love you,
J & J

Back track...

This event happened a few weeks ago...

I helped host a baby shower for my cousin Tara. She is going to be the first cousin in our family to have a baby. The youngest kid in our family is my sister Jocey, who is 18. So, to say the least we are thrilled to be welcoming a new baby. We were excited to find out that she will be having a little girl. Her name is going to be ELLA MICHELLE.  Here are a couple pics from the shower - thanks to Jared.

The Papa and Mama

Ella, these are your Auntie's. Aren't they cute?

Nervous to be having a girl?

All settled in.

For the most part we are UNPACKED and settled in. With the exception of hanging a few pictures everything is pretty much in its designated place.

We had a great 4th spending time with my sister in-law and her 5 beautiful (I'm a bias Auntie) kids. We ate good food, went to the beach and shopped - my top 3 things to do on the weekend or pretty much any time.

All the kids sleeping in our small living room (and yes, our nephew Dylan slept behind our sofa in a 2 foot gap)

Speaking of the beach...it was my first official beach day this summer. I was looking forward to getting a tan. (Disclaimer: I do not mean to sound like a brat with the following sentences.) I have never been sunburned in my life. I have been blessed with olive skin from my mother's side of the family. However, before I state how I am soooo lucky to have great skin for tanning, let me tell you what happened to me.

I put a little sunscreen on my nose and cheeks to protect my face and left the rest of my body sunscreen free thinking this would increase my future tan.....boy was I wrong! I got MAJOR SUNBURNED!!! My arms, legs (which hurt the most), back, stomach and chest were so RED. I honestly have never been in so much pain. I could barely straighten my legs on day 2. I lathered on the aloe and took IB profin - all of which didn't help that much. By day 5 my skin felt like leather.

It has now been a week since the "incident" and I am shedding like crazy. It's gross. I made a promise to Jared that I will never call him a wimp when he gets sunburned. I apologized for the times that I have teased him or may have even "accidentally" slapped his sunburn. I have learned a BIG lesson - sunscreen is a MUST!!!

I wish I would have taken pictures but, I'm kinda glad I didn't. I'm embarrassed at my idiocy.

It's Official....

we are MOVING AGAIN!!

We found a cute little place in Manhattan Beach. It is within a very short walking distance to Trader Joes :) and 1-1/2 miles away from the beach. We will be moving TOMORROW! So crazy! Jared starts his new job on Monday. So, we want to have everything done before then. Not to mention my sister in-law and her 5 kiddos are coming to hang with us for the 4th. It is going to be one FULL apartment! We are so excited for them to be visiting from Utah.

Good times!
